Over 50 Years of Advocacy
Our History
Our founder, the pioneering personal injury lawyer Bernie Simpson, C.M., who helped establish the use of structured settlements and ensured the Bike Helmet Legislation was enacted into law in British Columbia, established Simpson & Company in 1970. In 2001, he partnered with well-known personal injury lawyer Anthony Thomas, widely respected for his role in the famous “Jago wedding case,” to create Simpson, Thomas & Associates.
Ever since, our team has continued growing, adding partners that are experienced, compassionate and innovative lawyers in the mould of our original named partners. Today, the firm continues to adapt to the ever-growing and changing demand of the legal needs of British Columbians and, in response, offers the top, most sought after legal services to meet this demand.

“From the first call, right up until the final settlement, I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism and individual care and attention I was shown. Their honest and straightforward approach to resolving claims such as mine is absolutely second to none, which is why I would not hesitate to, in turn, refer others to them being certain they would experience the same level of satisfaction I have with the handling of their case.”
David Jackson
